AEC HARDWARE CLUB

Founded on July 19, 2019, the AEC Hardware Club has grown to become one of the most dynamic and active student organizations at Asansol Engineering College. The club regularly hosts a variety of events and competitions on weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly schedules, fostering innovation and hands-on learning among students.

Our flagship event, the Innovative Hardware Model Making Competition (IHMMC), is the pride of the club. Initially launched as an intra-college competition, IHMMC achieved international recognition in 2024, attracting over 1100+ participants. The competition offers exciting opportunities to win cash prizes and receive prestigious accolades.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Welcome to the AEC Hardware Club Event - Innovative Hardware Model Making Competition ( IHMMC )! This event encourages creativity, innovation, and teamwork as participants design and construct models showcasing their technical skills. To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone, please adhere to the following rules and regulations:

  • Open to all college students. Teams can consist of 4 to 6 members.
  • All the team members should be from the same college.
  • No team leader or member(s) can be in more than one team.
  • All participants must register online before the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted.
  • Participants can use any materials except for pre-made kits or fully assembled models. All materials must be sourced independently.
  • All models must be original creations. Plagiarism or copying from existing designs will lead to disqualification.
  • Teams must prepare a brief presentation (maximum 5 minutes) to explain their model's functionality and design process.
  • Participants must follow safety guidelines when working with tools and materials. The organizing committee will not be responsible for any injuries.
  • Models will be evaluated based on creativity, functionality, aesthetics, and presentation. Detailed criteria will be provided.
  • Any behavior deemed unsportsmanlike or violations of the rules may result in disqualification.
  • Teams must prepare a brief presentation (maximum 5 minutes) to explain their model's functionality and design process.
  • The Project should be either fully Hardware or Hardware-Software. No fully Software Projects are allowed.
  • Trophies and Cash Prizes will be awarded for Top 10 teams which also consist of Top 3 and other 5 special prizes.
